Thomas Lennox: Mr.
President, the people are losing faith in our ability to
protect them. |
|
-- |
|
Thomas Lennox: Security
has it's price. |
Wayne
Palmer: So does freedom, Tom. |
|
-- |
|
Chloe O'Brian: What's
going on? |
Milo
Pressman: Talk to your boyfriend. He's on self-destruct. |
|
-- |
|
Curtis Manning: Once he
has you, you will be on your own. |
Bill
Buchanan: You understand what this means, Jack? We're
asking you to sacrifice yourself, so we can eliminate
Assad. |
|
-- |
|
Bill Buchanan: I thought
I was prepared, but he's worse than I expected. Much
worse. |
|
-- |
|
Nadia Yassir: Look. I'm
sorry about your friend, but there is nothing you, I or
anyone can do. Right now this is our only way out of this
crisis. If we want this attacks to stop, Jack Bauer has
to be sacrificed. |
|
-- |
|
Bill Buchanan: I don't
know what to say, Jack. |
Jack
Bauer: Do you understand the difference between dying for
something and dying for nothing? The only reason I fought
so hard to stay alive in China was because I didn't want
to die for nothing. Today, I can die for something. My
way. My choice. To be honest with you, it will be a
relief. |
Bill Buchanan: I'm sorry,
Jack. |
Jack
Bauer: Don't be. |
|
-- |
|
Abu Fayed: That's right,
Jack. CTU is about to kill the wrong man. Assad isn't
behind these attacks. He's come here to stop them. He's
come here to stop me. You will die for nothing. |
|
 |
|
Jack Bauer: My name is
Jack Bauer. |
Hamir Al
Assad: I know who you are. |
|
-- |
|
Wayne Palmer: Sandra,
please don't start it on Tom again. |
Sandra
Palmer: He treats the Constitution like a list of
suggestions! |
|
-- |
|
Hamri Al Assad: Why do
you stop? |
Jack
Bauer: I can see it in his eyes. He's not gonna tell us
anything. |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: I don't know
how to do this anymore. |
Hamir Al
Assad: You'll remember. |
|
-- |
|
Wayne Palmer: This is
gonna get much worse. |
|
 |
|
Hamri Al Assad: I will
not work with my enemies. |
Jack
Bauer: You're working with one now. |
|
-- |
|
Chloe O'Brian: He can
bounce you, which I think you really want sometimes. |
Miles O'Brian:
And why would I want that? |
Chloe O'Brian: I don't
know, it's your character flaw, not mine. |
|
-- |
|
Curtis Manning: Doesn't
that mean anything to you? |
Jack
Bauer: I don't know what means anything anymore, Curtis. |
|
 |
|
Jack Bauer: Mr. President,
the truth is, I don't think I'm up to it. |
|
-- |
|
Wayne Palmer: This was
not an easy thing to do, Jack, but I do believe the
greater good requires it. Do you agree? |
Jack
Bauer: I'm glad it's a call I didn't have to make, Sir. |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: Tell the
President I'm sorry, I can't do this anymore. |
Bill
Buchanan: The hell you can't! |
|
 |
|
Chloe O'Brian: Why do
people I know keep dying? |
|
-- |
|
Chloe O'Brian: We've got
massive package loss. Do you wanna help me put up routers? |
Morris O'Brian:
Who wouldn't? |
|
-- |
|
Bill Buchanan: You said
you were out? |
Jack
Bauer: Not after this. |
|
-- |
|
Tom Lennox: The President
is talking, Admiral. Do not interrupt. |
|
-- |
|
Graem Bauer: I wish we'd
killed Jack when we had the chance, instead of handing
him over to the Chinese. |
Liddy: We
tried. |
Graem Bauer: This isn't
good. My brother has a way to dig things up that need to
stay buried. |
|
-- |
|
Graem Bauer: I'm just
looking for a little honesty. You weren't over Jack when
we got married and you're still not. |
Marilyn
Bauer: Okay. How is this for a little honesty: Insecurity
in a grown man is not attractive. |
|
-- |
|
Tom Lennox: The latest
terrorist incident? This was a nuclear bomb! Can we call
it what it is? |
|
-- |
|
Graem Bauer: When was the
last time we saw each other? |
Jack
Bauer: When Teri died. |
|
-- |
|
Graem Bauer: Actually,
you are hurting me now! |
Jack
Bauer: Trust me, I'm not. |
|
-- |
|
Graem Bauer: What do you
want from me? |
Jack
Bauer: The truth! |
Graem Bauer: This is the
truth! I swear to you on my families life! |
Jack
Bauer: Not good enough. |
|
 |
|
Tom Lennox: I love the
constitution, but I won't be ducking behind it, when the
next nuke goes off! |
|
-- |
|
Karen Hayes: If you think
that you are wearing me down, you are sadly mistaken! |
Tom
Lennox: Actually, you're wearing me down. |
|
-- |
|
Graem Bauer: It's good to
see you're loyality is still with your family. |
Jack
Bauer: If I were you I wouldn't talk about loyality. |
|
-- |
|
Darren McCarthy: Give me
a break, Fayed. This is not some easy one-stop shopping! |
|
--- |
|
Karen Hayes: They are not
security meassures, Bill. They are the paranoid delusions,
of Tom Lennox. |
|
-- |
|
Tom Lennox: I want you to
tender your resignation. |
Karen
Hayes: My resignation. What are you smoking? |
|
-- |
|
Karen Hayes: Do you wanna
get into the ring with me, Tom? You've got skeletons in
your closet and I will not hestitate to pull them out. |
|
-- |
|
Karen Hayes: You son of a
bitch. |
Tom
Lennox: I never claimed otherwise. |
|
-- |
|
Graem Bauer: Wrong.
Protecting the family is everything and I think you're
dead wife would agree. |
Jack
Bauer: You son of a bitch. |
|
-- |
|
Phillip Bauer: You work
for me! |
Graem
Bauer: No, he doesn't. |
|
 |
|
Phillip: What are you
gonna do to him? |
Jack:
Whatever it takes to find out what he knows. |
|
-- |
|
Marylin: I wish I knew
something, I really wish I did, but I don't know anything!
And Josh doesn't know anything either and he doesn't need
to know. |
Jack:
Marilyn, I will try everything I can to protect him. |
Marylin: No! I've seen
what happens when you try to protect people! |
|
-- |
|
Jack: You don't wanna
make me do this, Grey. |
Graem:
When we grew up together,Jack, in all those years I could
never make you do anything you didn't wanna do. |
|
-- |
|
Graem: Because I love my
country! And in the real world, sometimes you have to do
things, terrible things, even unforgivable things for the
sake of your country. But you know all about that, don't
you, brother? We're the same! |
Jack: We
are NOT the same! |
|
-- |
|
Phillip: I tell you what
isn't fair. You deserved a better family, Jack. Not this.
Not us. |
|
-- |
|
Noah Daniels: To be
honest, I didn't think this president had the stomach for
the cure. |
|
-- |
|
Jack: The ingenieur Fayed
is looking for is you. |
Morris:
Me? |
|
-- |
|
Phillip: My god. If you
people killed my son, I swear, you gonna regret it for
the rest of your life. |
|
 |
|
Tom Lennox: Well,
unfortunately the Vice President ist not the one in power
and this country is being led to slaughter by the man who
is. |
|
-- |
|
Hamri Al-Assad:
Perception is everything, Mr. President. I must present
my agenda to my own people in my own time, not by
appearing on american television from the White House!
Fayed has already called me a traitor and many others
will follow him if there is even a suspicion that I'm an
american puppet! |
|
-- |
|
Wayne Palmer: You wanna
lead this peace innitiative? Then lead. |
|
-- |
|
Jack: CTU, this is Bauer.
We got a problem. |
|
-- |
|
Jack: Are you sure this
time? |
Chloe: I'm
about as sure as I'm going to be before this bomb goes
off. |
|
 |
|
Chloe: I'm glad Fayed
didn't kill you this morning. |
Jack: Me
too. |
|
-- |
|
Noah Daniels: There's a
thin line between conviction and stubborness. You can
stand firm, but just know that you're standing alone. |
|
-- |
|
Tom Lennox: I like to
know whom I'm dealing with. |
Reed
Pollock: Right now, you're dealing with me. |
|
-- |
|
Morris: I'm a coward, not
an idiot. |
Chloe:
Morris? I know you've been through a lot today, but you're
really starting to piss me off. |
Morris: Well, let's add
that to my list of failures. |
|
 |
|
Jack Bauer: You've seen
what happened in Valencia today. This is going to be
worse. |
|
-- |
|
Bill Buchanan: Jack, what's
going on? |
Jack
Bauer: I'll explain everything later. |
Bill Buchanan: That's not
good enough. |
Jack
Bauer: Please, just trust me. It's personal. |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: How could've
been so stupid? |
|
-- |
|
Marilyn Bauer: How do you
know he won't betray us? |
Jack
Bauer: He wants to live. |
|
-- |
|
Morris O'Brian: After
everything that has happened, something had to give. The
important thing is that I realised I didn't want tho
throw everyting away, especially you. Especially you. And
I stopped myself and that is a little victory. Right? I
swear it will never happen again. |
|
-- |
|
Phillip Bauer: Jack? Even
when you were younger I learned never to underestimate
you. |
|
-- |
|
Jack Baur: Do you know
how to use this? |
Marilyn
Bauer: No. |
Jack Baur: Point and
shoot. |
|
-- |
|
Phillip Bauer: You have
all the smarts that Graem never had. You would've
handeled Gredenko berfore this all got outta control. You
know, none of this would have happened if you haven't
turned your back on me, so that you could become...what...a
civil servant? |
|
-- |
|
Phillip Bauer: It didn't
have to end like this, Jack. You could've had it all. |
Jack
Bauer: I want you to know, I never wanted you to feel
like I had turned my back on you. That I had turned my
back on the family. I just had to go my own way. Do
thinks for myself, I...that was never good enough for you.
I'm sorry. |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: Who is this? |
Charles
Logan: It's Charles Logan, Jack. |
|
 |
|
Wayne Palmer: Stop
handing me excuses. Get on the phone and MAKE this happen.
|
|
-- |
|
Charles Logan: With due
respect, Sir, I have more experience dealing with people
with Markovs character. |
Wayne
Palmer: You mean criminals like yourself? |
|
-- |
|
Charles Logan: This isn't
easy for you, is it, Jack? |
Jack
Bauer: What? |
Charles Logan: The
possibility I may not the same man you hated for so long. |
|
 |
|
Jack Bauer: Let me be
clear about this, before we go anywhere: You are a
federal prisoner in my custody, you don't make a move
unless I tell you to, do you understand me? |
Charles
Logan: You don't have to threaten me, Jack, I know what
my role is. I just wanna be of service. |
Jack Bauer: As far as I'm
concerned, you will never do anything, that can erase
what you've already done. |
|
-- |
|
Charles Lgoan: I haven't
been outside these gates in over a year. I'm sorry, Jack,
I...you don't need me to tell you how it's like to be
locked up. |
Jack
Bauer: You're right, I don't. |
Charles Logan: I know how
it feels to be locked away from the rest of the world.
Lonely. The silence. Plays with your sanity. But in that
silence you can hear the voice of your deepest self. And
if you listen to that voice, you have a chance to heal. |
|
-- |
|
Reed Pollock: No, we
cannot kill Tom Lennox. |
Carson:
Why not? |
Reed Pollock: Because we're
not murderers! |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: I don't let
you out of my sight. |
Charles
Logan: What do you think I'm gonna do in there, Jack?
Request asylum? If it's any comfort, I don't think the
Russians would take me. |
|
-- |
|
Charles Logan: He's lying,
they are still in contact. He knows enough about what's
going on to deny that. |
Jack
Bauer: How do you know? |
Charles Lgoan: Because I've
done enough lying myself to be familiar with the signs. |
|
 |
|
Charles Logan: Who are
you? |
Chloe O'Brian:
I'm just Chloe O'Brian. I'm...I need to do something on
this computer. |
|
-- |
|
Charles Logan: Excuse me? |
Chloe O'Brian:
I'm sorry, I'm feeling ambivalent. I'm gonna go. |
|
-- |
|
Milo Pressman: Yeah, it's
so weird, because I had that thought that you might come
here and not be a jerk like you were in Denver. But you
are. |
Mike
Doyle: That's right. Just like Denver. |
|
-- |
|
Charles Logan: What you
understand really doesn't matter. |
Aaron
Pierce: I no longer have to tolerate your sarcasm. |
|
-- |
|
Martha Logan: Why are
they doing this to me? I...I should be given a medal! |
|
-- |
|
Aaron Pierce: Will you be
able to handle the conversation with Anya Suvarov? |
Martha
Logan: Of course I am, I'm not crazy! I know what the
stakes are. |
Aaron Pierce: Are you
sure? |
|
 |
|
Noah Daniels: I will not
let another attack go unanswered, Tom. |
|
-- |
|
Karen Hayes: Hello, Tom.
Did somebody push you down the stairs? |
Tom
Lennox: No, Karen, I tripped over your ineptitude. |
|
-- |
|
Milo Pressman: Morris
seems better. |
Chloe O'Brian:
Is that a question? |
|
-- |
|
Mike Doyle: Surrender
your station. |
Nadia
Yassir: Excuse me? |
|
-- |
|
Milo Pressman: Doyle's an
ass. |
Chloe O'Brian:
He's doing his job. If we want him to stop we have to
proof she's innocent. |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: Audrey gave
her life trying to get me out of a Chinese prison.
Because she thought I was worth it. I'm not gonna let her
die for nothing now. I'm gonna finish this. And when I do,
I'm gonna track down the people who are responsible for
her murder and I take care of them too. Please, you have
to let me finish this. |
Bill
Buchanan: Alright. |
|
 |
|
Noah Daniels: If the
president dies or suffers any permanent damage from your
actions, I will nail your ass to the wall, do you
understand me? |
Dr.
Welton: Perfectly, Sir. |
|
-- |
|
Nadia Yassir: You have to
admit, this is not the best place to start a relationship. |
Milo
Pressman: You're probably right. But I still wanted to
say, I'm sorry. |
|
 |
|
Mike Doyle: Look. I know
you and I got off to kind of a bad start. |
Nadia
Yassir: A bad start? You assaulted me. |
|
-- |
|
Noah Daniels: Tom! You
know something? I'm beginning to think you are not on my
side. |
Tom
Lennox: Well, Sir, I'm on the side of the United States
Of America and if you ever thought otherwise, you're very
much mistaken. |
|
-- |
|
Noah Daniels: You do
understand, I'm just trying to do what is right for this
country. |
Tom
Lennox: So am I, Sir. |
|
-- |
|
Tom Lennox: I would put
that down to happy coincidence. |
Karen
Hayes: For now. But someday I'd love to know the real
story. |
Tom Lennox: Okay. Someday.
|
|
-- |
|
Tom Lennox: I implore you,
Sir, do not mistake being reckless with being strong. |
Wayne
Palmer: Tom, I am done talking! |
|
 |
|
Wayne Palmer: We can't
afford to wait longer. |
Karen
Hayes: Sir, we can't afford not to. Please. Why are you
doing this? |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: Just tell me
where the bombs are! |
Abu Fayed:
Are you enjoying yourself, Bauer? As much as you enjoyed
butchering my little brother? |
Jack Bauer: You're
brother was responsible for the death of dozens of
innocent lifes. Now you're responsible for thousands.
Trust me I haven't begun to enjoying myself. |
Abu Fayed:
Go ahead. You get nothing from me and you know it. |
|
-- |
|
Abu Fayed: I serve the
will of god. |
Mike
Doyle: No, you don't. And if you don't believe me, ask
him when you meet him. |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: Now we gonna
have some fun. |
|
-- |
|
Wayne Palmer: I'm not
David, Tom, and I never will be, but I am learning that
who I am is not so bad. |
Tom
Lennox: Yeah. Well, we all are doing some learning here
today, aren't we, Sir? |
|
-- |
|
Tom Lennox: Sir, as Chief
of Staff, I'm here to inform you and also to protect you.
Those jobs don't always work in combination. |
|
-- |
|
Wayne Palmer: If Jack
Bauer says that's a dead end, then it's a dead end and I
believe him. |
|
-- |
|
Morris O'Brian: Pssst. I
know, it's none of my business, but do we have a bit of a
problem? |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: Say hello to
your brother. |
|
 |
|
Chen Zhi: A man who won't
break is of no use to us. |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: Chloe, I need
your help. |
Chloe O'Brian:
Can't it wait? |
|
-- |
|
Chloe O'Brian: Jack, we
both know that if we do this, it would create an
international situation. Big time. |
|
-- |
|
Wayne Palmer: You're
gonna sacrifice yourself? |
Jack
Bauer: Yes, Sir, if I have to. |
Wayne Palmer: Jack... |
Jack
Bauer: Mr. President, please. Please, I am begging you.
Audrey Raines was willing to give up her life to save
mine. I can not and will not do anything less for her. |
Wayne Palmer: You're
asking me to sign off on a probable suicide mission! |
Jack
Bauer: With all due respect, Mr. President, sixteen hours
ago, you're people were willing to hand me over for dead
and I did not hestitate. Mr. President? You owe me. |
|
-- |
|
Morris O'Brian: So, you're
going to hold this over my head now, will you? |
Chloe O'Brian:
Yeah. For a long time. |
Morris O'Brian: For how
long? Could you give me in estimate? |
Chloe O'Brian:
I'll get back to you. |
|
-- |
|
Noah Daniels: I wanted
you to explain it, not exuse it. |
|
-- |
|
Bill Buchanan: Chloe, I
want you to stand down on this operation. |
Chloe O'Brian:
Why? |
Bill Buchanan: You showed
me I can't trust you. |
|
-- |
|
Mike Doyle: Jack, what's
the problem? |
Jack
Bauer: Earlier today, I shot my own partner. A friend of
mine, because he tried to stop me from doing what I have
to do. Don't think for a second, I won't do that to you. |
|
 |
|
Milo Pressman: I just can't
believe that Jack would give up the circuit board to the
Chinese. |
Chloe O'Brian:
Jack would die before giving up that component to the
Chinese. |
Milo Pressman: I agree
with you. The question is, would Jack give up Audrey's
life? |
Chloe O'Brian:
... |
Milo Pressman: Exactly. |
|
-- |
|
Lisa Miller: I'm not sure
this is appropriate behaviour, Mr. Acting President. |
Noah
Daniels: There's the phone, call the media. Tell them the
acting president is a dirty old man. |
Lisa Miller: They already
know. |
|
-- |
|
Morris O'Brian: Being a
little hostile, aren't we? |
Chloe O'Brian:
Fine, I'm hostile. But I didn't just get there, you
pushed me half way. |
Morris O'Brian: Yes, you're
right, it's my fault. All my fault. |
Chloe O'Brian:
I didn't say it's all your fault. I said half way, 50%, .5,
see? You don't listen to me. |
|
-- |
|
Morris O'Brian: My ex-wife
is suddenly showing signs of irrational behaviour. |
|
-- |
|
Morris O'Brian: Is there
anything else? |
Chloe O'Brian:
How about don't arm nuclear bombs for terrorists? |
|
-- |
|
Karen Hayes: He's such a
weasle. |
|
-- |
|
Nadia Yassir: Dammit,
Bill, what is going on? |
Bill
Buchanan: It's just politics. |
|
 |
|
Nadia Yassir: You're
asking me to indulge your personal melodrama, while we're
in the middle of an international crisis. |
|
-- |
|
Karen Hayes: If you need
more recources, you need to let me know now. You
understand? |
Nadia
Yassir: I will. One more thing. To be honest, Karen, what
we need is Bill Buchanan. |
|
-- |
|
Nadia Yassir: There's
nothing that I can do! |
Mike
Doyle: You can do what you know is right! That's what
Buchanan would've done. |
Nadia Yassir: That was
uncalled for. |
|
-- |
|
Mike Doyle: Make it look
good. |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: What have you
done to her? |
Dr.
Bradley: Nothing! Nothing! |
Jack Bauer: Consider
yourself lucky. |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: I want them
to pay for what they've done. I know what you've been
through. I know what it's like to feel like it's never
going to end. To hate them that much. And then need them.
You start blaming yourself for anything that's happening
to you. But they can't hurt you anymore. |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer (zu Audrey): I
love you with all my heart. |
|
-- |
|
James Heller: You're
cursed, Jack. Everything you touch, one way or the other,
ends up dead. |
|
 |
|
Jack Bauer: You need to
let me go with them. |
Nadia
Yassir: You're still under arrest, Jack! |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: I caused this
mess, let me clean it up. |
|
-- |
|
Josh Bauer: I wish I was
never even born. |
Marilyn
Bauer: Don't say that. |
Josh Bauer: Why? That's
how I feel. I wish I was never part of this sick family. |
|
-- |
|
Marilyn Bauer: Jack,
whatever happens, when all this is over, I want you to
know, I'll be there for you. |
Jack
Bauer: Thank you. |
|
-- |
|
Mike Doyle: It looks like
the Chinese are planning to launch a major assault. |
Nadia
Yassir: Assault on what? |
|
-- |
|
Noah Daniels: This doesn't
exactly fall under your job description. |
Tom
Lennox: We're all doing some improvising today, aren't we,
Sir? |
|
-- |
|
Morris O'Brian: I don't
know how they have done it, but we are completely
paralized. |
|
 |
|
Mike Doyle: Are you okay? |
Nadia
Yassir: No. |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: You need to
let them know my father is still involved in this. |
Mike
Doyle: You're father is involved with the Chinese? Why? |
Jack Bauer: I don't know.
I'll ask him when I find him. |
|
-- |
|
Tom Lennox: Aaannd
finally, we're done. Here we go. |
|
-- |
|
Präsident Suvarov: I
have already given you ample time to recover it. Now I am
feeling less generous. |
|
-- |
|
Noah Daniels: We're about
to go to war over a piece of circuitry. |
|
-- |
|
Phillip Bauer: I'm
offering you the opportunity of avoiding a conflict this
country does not want, a war this country can not afford.
Not after what's happened today. |
|
 |
|
Chloe O'Brian: Doyle has
a plan to get Josh back. |
Jack
Bauer: My father will have a better plan. |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: You need to
stop this and you need to stop it now. |
|
-- |
|
Karen Hayes: He is
Phillip Bauer's son and he's been more right than we have
today. |
Tom
Lennox: Point taken there. |
|
-- |
|
Chloe O'Brian: Who cares
if he's being objective if he's right? |
|
-- |
|
Mike Doyle: Morris, the
next time I want your opinion, I'll ask for it. |
Morris O'Brian:
Fair enough. |
|
-- |
|
Morris O'Brian: Chloe,
you're alright? You look a little pale. |
Chloe O'Brian:
I'm fine, just tired. |
|
-- |
|
Nadia Yassir: Jack, how
bad is Agent Doyle? |
Jack
Bauer: Bad, we need that trauma team! Hurry! |
|
-- |
|
Noah Daniels: Karen was
right. |
Tom
Lennox: Yes, Sir, she certainly was. |
Noah Daniels: And I was
wrong. |
|
 |
|
Jack Bauer: You don't
need to do this, Bill. |
Bill
Buchanan: Yes, I do. |
|

Phillip Bauer: You have
to learn to control your emotions. You must never let
them control you, you understand? |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: Josh, it's
alright, I got him. You lower that weapon. Josh! Lower
your gun. I know how scared and angry you must feel right
now. I know. I've been exactly where you are, I know
exactly how you feel, but you gonna have to trust me on
this, you do not wanna live with the pain of taking
another person's life, even if you think they deserve it.
|
|
-- |
|
Phillip Bauer: You don't
wanna die. Not here, not with me. |
Jack
Bauer: You're gonna get off easy. |
|
-- |
|
Chloe O'Brian: Really? |
Morris O'Brian:
Yeah, really. I love you. |
Chloe O'Brian: Okay. That's
good, 'cause I'm pregnant. |
Morris O'Brian:
You mean, what - with child? |
Chloe O'Brian:That's
usually how it works. |
Morris O'Brian:Chloe... |
Chloe O'Brian:You know,
this is a nice moment, let's not ruin it by saying
something stupid. Let's just get back to work. |
|
-- |
|
Tom Lennox: You know
Karen, I actually think I'm gonna miss you. |
Karen
Hayes: Really? |
Tom Lennox: Mh, I can
answer that better after you're gone. |
|
-- |
|
Bill Buchanan: You will
be debriefed in a federal detention facility. |
Cheng Zhi:
My people will not abandon me like you abandoned Jack
Bauer. |
Bill Buchanan: Get him
out of here. |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: Put it down.
Now. |
James
Heller: Are you here to kill me? |
Jack Bauer: Depends.
Where's Audrey? |
James
Heller: I told you before, you're not getting anywhere
near my daughter. |
Jack Bauer: You do not
tell me what do do anymore! You understand me? YOU do not
tell me what to do. I just watched my father die and I
felt nothing. You know why? Yeah, you know why. Because
that man was dead to me years ago. I admired you, I
looked up to you like a father. You were the kind of man
I wanted to be and you took advantage of it! |
James
Heller: Jack, listen to me. |
Jack Bauer: No! You are
gonna listen to me! Earlier today you said that I was
cursed, that anyone I touched, ended up dead or ruined.
How dare you? How dare you. The only thing I did, the
only thing I have EVER done is what you and people like
you have asked of me. Why didn't you try to get me out of
China? |
James
Heller: I did try. |
Jack Bauer: Not hard
enough! You had the political power. Was the timing not
right? Was it a little too complicated? Or was I just an
acceptable loss? |
James
Heller: Jack, I understand you're angry... |
Jack Bauer: Shut up! You
don't understand a thing about me. But I know you. I know
why you're angry at me. It wasn't because Audrey went to
China to safe me, it was because when you told her not to,
she did it anyway. You will never understand that kind of
commitment, that kind of loyalty. |
James
Heller: You're right, Jack. It wasn't fair of me to put
all this on you to blame you for what happened to Audrey.
I know the sacrifices you made, I know this country owes
you more than it will ever repay. |
Jack Bauer: I'm not
interested in what you think this country owes me. I want
my life back. And I want it now. Audrey is all I've got.
You can't stop me. In case you've forgotten, I'm very
good at disappearing. And if you try sending someone
after us, I'll kill him. Pretty good at that too. |
James
Heller: Simply getting your life back, Jack, isn't gonna
change who you are. And you can't walk away from it, you
know that, you've tried it. Sooner or later you're gonna
be back in the game and my daughter is gonna pay the
price, like your wife did. |
Jack Bauer: You son of a
bitch. |
James
Heller: Jack... I beg you to stop for a moment and think.
Yes, Jack. You won't be able to take care of her the way
you want to. |
Jack Bauer: Where is she?
Take me to her now. |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: I know that I
promised to take care of you and to protect you. But I'm
at a crossroad. Right now the best way... the only way to
do that is to let you go. I hope that one day you will
understand. I hope one day you can forgive me. I love you
with all my heart and I always will. |
