|
President Palmer: Mr.
Prime Minister. If a bomb goes off today, it will hurt us.
But it will destroy you. |
|
--- |
|
President Palmer: Today
is going to be a very long day. |
|
--- |
|
George Mason: Are you out
of your mind? |
Jack
Bauer: You wanna find this bomb? This is what it's gonna
take. |
George Mason: Killing a
witness... |
Jack
Bauer: That's the problem with people like you, George.
You want results, but you never want to get your hands
dirty. Let's start with rolling up your sleeves. ... I
gonna need a hacksaw. |
|
 |
|
Eddie Grant: You broke
his damn ankle, Jack! |
Jack
Bauer: He shouldn't have been playing with adults. |
|
--- |
|
Jack: Where are we going? |
Eddie:
West L.A. |
Jack: What are we doing? |
Eddie:
Conversion. |
Jack: What do you mean, a
conversion? |
Eddie: We
are turning a government building into a cemetary. |
Jack: Which building? |
Eddie:
This branch has been dogging us for years. They are
called L.A. Counter Terrorist Unit, CTU. |
Jack: ...Good. |
|
 |
|
Megan: Where are we? |
Kim Bauer:
Don't worry. We're safe here. |
|
--- |
|
Lynne Kresge: Get out of
my way. |
Eric
Rayburn: Don't do this Lynne. You do not want me for an
enemy. I promise. |
Lynne Kresge: Are you
threatening me? |
Eric
Rayburn: Just giving you some strong advise. |
|
 |
|
Tony Almeida: I need your
password. |
George
Mason: My password? |
Tony Almeida: Yeah. |
George
Mason: Hendrix. |
Tony Almeida: With an 'X'? |
George
Mason: How else would you spell it? |
|
 |
|
David Palmer: Let's just
get through this day. Eventually we will make it right. |
Jack
Bauer: Yes, Sir. |
|
-- |
|
George Mason: I'm dying
Jack, I'm not crazy. You and Nina together is a recipe
for disaster. |
|
 |
|
Nina Myers: You just
gonna have to follow my lead. |
Jack
Bauer: You gonna tell me everything I wanna know or, I
swear to god, I will hurt you before I kill you. And no
one will stop me, do you understand me? |
|
 |
|
Nina Myers: Even if I
survive this, Jack is going to kill me anyway. |
George
Mason: That's what Agent Phillips is there for. To
protect you. |
Nina Myers: He can't
protect me from Jack! |
|
-- |
|
Nina Myers: He is gonna
put a bullet in my head before I can say 'hello' and then
he is gonna turn the gun on himself. |
Jack
Bauer: We'll make sure he doesn't turn the gun on himself. |
|
 |
|
Jack Bauer: Sunday before
you killed my wife... Teri and I went to the boardwalk in
Venice just watching all the rollerbladers and musicians,
laughing at the crazy people, spending time together. And
Teri sees this snow-cone stand. She giggles like a kid.
She takes off running, she wants to get in line, she
wants one. I remember I was watching her, I was just... I
couldn't help myself. When I looked up at her she's
talking to this old lady in line behind her and the two
of them are laughing, and I'm thinking to myself, how the
hell does she do that. How does she strike up a
conversation with an absolute stranger and... and they
just start laughing! Like they'd been friends forever.
That's a gift. I remember thinking, God, I wish I could
do that. But I can't. That was Teri. My wife. That's what
you took from this world, Nina. That's what you took from
me, and my daughter. I just wanted you to know that. |
|
 |
|
Sherry Palmer: What? |
David
Palmer: I was just wondering if you've really changed. Or
if you have just gotten better in pretending. |
|
-- |
|
Miguel: I don't think we
should be counting on your father. No offense, but you
were right when you said how messed up he is. |
Kim:
Everything I said about my father is because I was angry
and I blamed him for what happened to my mom. |
Miguel: Maybe you were
right. |
Kim: No.
No, listen, it wasn't his fault and he did the best he
could. It just turned out wrong. |
|
-- |
|
Nina Myers: This isn't
how you thought it would end, isn't it Jack? |
Jack
Bauer: This isn't over yet. |
|
 |
|
Nina Myers: I never meant
for it to be personal. |
Jack
Bauer: It felt pretty personal when you killed my wife. |
|
-- |
|
George Mason: Believe it
or not, I used to want to be a teacher. A long time ago.
You know why I didn't? DOD offered me more money. That's
how I made my decision. So I made myself miserable. And I
made everybody else around me miserable. For an extra
five thousand dollars a year. That was my price. You know,
Michelle, I'm not a big advice giver, but under the
circumstances... Don't wait around for your life to
happen to you. Find something that makes you happy, and
do it. Because everything else is all just background
noise. |
|
 |
|
Jack Bauer: What you did
for us in the mosque, that was very courageous, thank you. |
Kate
Warner: You're kidding me. I'm still shaking. |
Jack Bauer: You did great. |
|
 |
|
Marie Warner: People have
to die for things to change. |
|
-- |
|
Sayed Ali: I'm not afraid
to die. |
Jack
Bauer: The only way you're gonna die today is if I kill
you. |
|
 |
|
Sherry Palmer: Let's just
quit playing games. |
Lynne
Kresge: How dare you to speak to me like this. I was
appointed by the president of the United States of
America because of my qualifications in foreign policy
and in crises management. I don't know what kind of
credentials you have that makes you think you can lecture
me. Fine. You don't wanna play games? I don't like you.
And I don't like you being here. |
Sherry Palmer: Well, now
we are communicating. |
|
 |
|
George Mason: This
morning when I told you that I couldn't wait to get out
of here? I don't feel like that anymore. |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: Marie, tell
me where the bomb is. Where is the bomb! |
Marie
Warner: Katie, make him stop. |
Kate Warner: No, Marie.
You make him stop. |
|
 |
|
Tony Almeida: Do you
trust him? |
Agent
Graves: Right now? I don't trust anyone. |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: I love you
just the way you are. I don't ever want you to change, do
you understand that? I love you more than anything in the
world. Kim, can you still hear me? |
Kim Bauer:
I...Yes. |
Jack Bauer: Honey, I want
you to live your life. I want you to be happy, that's all
I ever wanted for you. I want you to try and grow up and
be the person that would have made your mom proud. Okay? |
Kim Bauer:
Oh, god.... |
Jack Bauer: Promise me
that? |
Kim Bauer:
I promise. |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: Don't move! |
George
Mason: Hey, hey. Service is bad enough on this flight.
You don't have to shoot me. |
|
-- |
|
George Mason: Am I right?
Unless of course maybe you wanna die. |
Jack
Bauer: What are you talking about. |
George Mason: Oh, Jack.
You got a death wish ever since Teri died. And how things
have been going for you during the last one year and a
half this would probably don't look like such a bad idea.
To go out in a blaze of glory, one of the greatest heroes
of all time, leave your troubles behind. This could be
the easy way out. You still got a life, Jack. You wanna
be a real hero? Here is what you do: You get back down
there and you put the pieces together. Find a way to
forgive yourself to what happened to your wife. You make
things right with your daughter. And you go on serving
your country. That will take some real guts. |
|
-- |
|
Yusef Auda: You Americans... |
Tony
Almeida: We Americans - what? |
Yusef Auda: Nothing. |
|
 |
|
Tony Almeida: Where the
hell do you think you are going, Jack? |
Jack
Bauer: I don't have time to explain. |
Tony Almeida: Let's find
the time. |
|
 |
|
Kate Warner: Do you
really think we can do this? |
Jack
Bauer: I'm not gonna lie to you. This is very, very
dangerous. I'm sorry, I don't know what else to do. I'm
running out of time. |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: What
insurances do I have that you even call. |
Jonathan
Wallace: None. One of the things where you just have to
gonna trust me. |
Jack Bauer: Well, I don't. |
Jonathan
Wallace: Jack, you're the last person I would want
tracking me down. |
|
 |
|
Mike Novick: What's going
to happen, Sir? |
David
Palmer: If this is what the people are going to be
watching, let's show them how we are going to respond. I
want them to see how we protect our citizens. We will not
put up with racism or xenophobia. If this is where it's
gonna start, this is where it's gonna stop. |
|
-- |
|
Tony Almeida: I
understand what you're saying, Jack. But this country is
about to go to war over this, all right? This is way too
big for one person to handle. Even you. |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: We need to
see the doctor now! |
Schwester
Clara: Sir, you can't do that. |
Jack Bauer: Open the door! |
Schwester
Clara: Sir, I will call the police! |
Jack Bauer (zieht die
Pistole): Lady, I AM THE POLICE! Now open the
door! |
Schwester
Clara: Let him in. Let him in! |
|
 |
|
Michelle Dessler: Listen,
uhm... about what happened before...I'm sorry, I shouldn't... |
Tony
Almeida: Don't, don't, don't...don't be sorry. I'm not. |
|
 |
|
Ryan Chappelle: We are
about to bomb the Middle East into next Wednesday. |
|
-- |
|
David Palmer: I am the
Commander in Chief. When I call, there is only one
direction. |
|
-- |
|
Ryan Chappelle: I wanna
make myself clear, we are past Bauer. |
Tony
Almeida: No, Sir. You are, I'm not. |
|
 |
|
David Palmer: Take a good
look. Do I seem scared? Am I breaking into a nervous
sweat? Am I babbling, at a loss for words? IS MY VOICE
SHAKING? Can anyone of you look me in the eye and tell me
I am disabled? |
|
-- |
|
David Palmer: I'm the
President, Mike. You don't call me by my first name. |
|
-- |
|
Jack Bauer: Kate, are you
alright? |
Kate
Warner: Everything that's happened today, everything...everything
that's still happening, I keep thinking it's all my fault. |
Jack Bauer: We would
never have found the bomb in time if it wasn't for you. |
Kate
Warner: But my sister was the one behind the bomb. She
helped those fanatics. |
Jack Bauer: Yes, but you
are not your sister. |
Kate
Warner: I should have seen something is wrong before it
got this bad. 'Cause of what she did... it could start a
war! I could have stopped it! I could have stopped it! |
Jack Bauer: No, Kate, you
couldn't have. There are things in this world that are
just out of our control. Sometimes we like to blame
ourselves for them so that we can try to make sense out
of it. There is nothing you could have done. |
|
 |
|
Alex Hewitt: What about
him? |
Sherry
Palmer: Don't worry about him. I will handle Agent Bauer,
he won't be a problem. He's very low on the food chain. |
|
-- |
|
Mike Novick: I tried to
be a friend to you, Sir. |
David
Palmer: I don't want a friend. I need someone to do the
right thing. |
|
 |
|
Jack Bauer: Alex, drop
the gun! Drop the gun! If you try to shoot me I will have
to shoot you back and I promise, I won't miss! And I don't
wanna do that! |
|
 |
|
Marie Warner: You think
you'll be safe out there. You won't be. |
|
-- |
|
Ryan Chappelle: So, what's
up my friend? |
Tony
Almeida: Well, it's like this: Either fire me, or get out
of my chair. |
Ryan Chappelle: Chair's
all yours. |
